Family
Her full name is Susan Brownwell Anthony. She was born on February 15, 1820. She was the second oldest of eight children from a local mill, cotton owner and his wife. Only six of the children survived to row into adults. Susan B. Anthony developed a moral compass early on in life because she grew up in a Quaker family.
Activist
Susan B. Anthony wasn't only a Women's right activist, she was involved in a number of things. She was involved in a temperance movement, whose goal to limit or stop the production of alcohol. In 1851 she attended an anti-slavery conference where she met Elizabeth Cady Stanton. When she was denied the right to speak at the conference of she realized that no one will take her opinions seriously because she was a woman. Stanton and Anthony teamed up and created the Women's Temperance Movement in 1852 and soon began to fight for women's right. These two women were brave enough to fight for their rights even though most of their protests weren't taken seriously.
Women's activists always are inspiring to me, but I respect those who support several causes even more. It shows that they wish for absolute equality!
